Make Money From Home

You can even make money from home when you start a website having that purpose in mind. You can't just set up any website and just have it start making money. You have to start from the beginning and plan your website and your business. This website outlines the process of researching and planning a website. When you are in the planning stages of your website you will come up with how you are going to make money from home with your website.

There are many different ways and I'll just discuss a few of them here:

• Create an informational site on a topic that is in demand and has a low or reasonable supply and use Google Adsense or other pay per click options. The way this works is that you place ads on your site and when people click on the ads - you will get paid. Advertisers are paying the company for the ads and you will get a very small percentage so it will take many pages and ad impressions along with a few thousand visitors a day and more to make additional income for yourself. (But that is exactly what I am doing!)

• Write your own Ebook or self publish a book and sell on sites like Amazon.com or lulu.com

• Sell other people's products through affiliate programs. Many companies have affiliate programs. These are systems that allow you to make a share of the sale when you refer people to a product using a specific code that the vendor provides for you. Amazon.com was one of the first major companies to offer such a program. You can also find Ebooks and products at www.clickbank.com which is a service that manages the affiliate program.

• Have people buy advertisements on your website.

• Have people become sponsors for your website. This is different than an advertiser. A sponsor is someone who has a related business to what your website offers and believes in what you are doing and wants to support you while also getting exposure for their website/business. It is more about having a relationship with the business that is beneficial to both parties.

This isn't the get rich quick methods that most websites are talking about. It takes planning and a lot of time to create such a website and get the traffic to it that you will need to make it be successful. It can be done. It is building a business with a website.
