Wordpress Blogs

Wordpress blogs are my favorite blogging system. I have tried many of the others but Wordpress was the most user friendly with many pages of instructions and a great help forum. They do it all for free. While WordPress is fun, it does take some setting up for search engine optimization. It also does not include any support but you can get help in their forums.

If you are wanting to create a business blogging I recommend that you start with SBI! first so you can understand the whole process of starting and running an online business. They will teach you how to research topics and set up your website to make it into a business. Once you understand the basics then I would recommend that you try WordPress if you still want to.

You can set up a free Wordpress blog at www.wordpress.com and see how it all works and see what it is like. If you like it and want to make money by blogging I would recommend that you host your own Blog on your own Site. It is really easy to do these days as Wordpress had made it easy to install and set up. You can do it with just a few clicks and have it installed on a server. Any webhost that offers a Cpanel with Fantastico ( a system that lets you install the blog and other software with a few clicks.)

I use and recommend www.ez-web-hosting.com for my blogs and other websites. They are a small hosting company so you get the same people helping you when you need it or have questions. They always are more than helpful. I have tried a few other hosts like hostgator.com and had trouble with them when they lost two of my domains. Why Blog? First you want to take a look at why you want to set up a blog. If you just want to blog for fun than using wordpress.com should be plenty. If you want to try to start a blog in order to make some money from it, it will take some learning about what to blog about and learning about search engine optimization which this site will each you all about.

If you want to set up your own blog here are some things you will have to learn and implement:

• Figure out a topic to blog about that has more potential to make you money. There are ways to research keywords online and figure out topics that will hopefully make you money. If you have some topics in mind you can also research what potential they have and see if you can turn it into something that makes money.

• Research ways to make money. There are many ways to make money. Using Adsense which pays you when people click on an ad, having sponsors pay you for ad space, using other pay-per-click advertisers, writing your own ebook, selling other people's products through affiliate programs and creating membership sites.

• Plan your blog and research keywords that you will be using. Everything online is about keywords. When you take the time to research keywords that have a better chance of being more profitable and then create a plan for pages, it will help you to be more successful.

• Learn how to optimize Wordpress and get it found by the search engines. It is fairly easy to learn how to do. There are some plugins that can be added to the Wordpress dashboard once you have it set up. Don't worry if you don't know what that means. It will all become clearer when you just do it -as they say.
